The mod should kick in automatically once you have completed the 'The Battle for Castle Kvatch' quest, regardless if you have already done it long before, or are just starting out. Along the way you'll find a variety of quests that introduce new locations, new characters, new armour and of course the rebuilt city to explore.

If you wish to use so many mods together, you must use Wrye Bash. The Expansion will let you explore the ruins of old Kvatch, and even the ruins beneath that!

Answer yes to the prompt about plug-ins having been removed. The bashed patch is totally esoteric to me, so I just build it with whatever options come by default, unless states otherwise by some guide or the mod author. It'll also save you a headache.

I'm afraid I'll destroy my very nicely working game by starting to play around with WyreBash. I may not be interpreting that correctly though.

If wrye bash doesn't have a feature to do this I don't know of one, but I'm relatively new to wrye bashshould I use another tool like BSAopt to extract bsa assets to some folder and then add that folder to bash's installers folder, along with rebilt plugins that the mod may also containt? Installing Kvatch Rebuilt is simple, you can do it manually too. I don't even touch it myself, but instead do everything from within wrye bash.

In skyrim it's recommended that you always extract erbuilt from bsa's and add then add them mod organzer does this automatically. I'm reading a lot in a lot of different places and it's very helpful to discuss with other people with experience. You don't have anything to tell you later what has been overwritten and if you decide to uninstall the mod, it will be hell to get it back. Wrye bash also tells you about potential conflicts and what will be overwritten, just rdbuilt in a nag screen way like obmm.

It helps solve lots of conflicts with mods in general. Start your search now I did not see those words written like that anywhere in the voluminous WyreBash notes! If mmod game treats the bsa in load order as any ordinary mod, then unpacking or no really only comes down to performance.

I build a simple folder structure with my options in it and refresh-install.
